Tweakin' Out
Like most Americans, I jumped on the "new year, new you" bandwagon. This year I am retiring my gym membership and TWEAKING my life and workout for maximum results.

Cleanse – For the next 11 days I am doing the Fast Track Detox. Essentially you eat lean meats, green vegetables, and a few fruits. No caffeine, alcohol, dairy or sugar. I’ll live, hopefully just a little bit better.

Get Outside – The fresh snow has inspired me to get outside for a workout. It is no secret that it is mega cold, but a little layering makes it bearable. Lately I have rented snowshoes at Hoigaard’s for like $20 for the weekend and trekked the Arboretum and Theodore Wirth Park (so much better than the treadmill!).

Snowboarding is the trick I am trying to master this week, and I think I like it but I have a lot more to learn. I can head straight down the hill at full speed really well; I just need some padded walls to catch me at the bottom.

TWEAK – I can’t take credit for the little changes I am making. I just happened to meet a chick, Andrea Austin, that has tweaked my workout (and my diet) to get me in 16-year-old shape again. Andrea can tweak your workout too via her website. Check it out, put in your details, and Andrea will be in touch via email with suggested “tweaks” for your workout. She give you exercises to try and challenges to accomplish and she follows up with you via phone or email for 3-4 weeks, all for $25. Sounds like an infomercial, I know, but I am loving it so far!
